My stay in Istanbul and Marmara Taksim was excellent.. The breakfast was excellent. I did not like the reception staff if the UPPERIST rooftop next to the elevator who asked me to leave because I was alone and not in the company of a woman . They said they prefer couples only . The place is beautiful with some of the best views ever of this magnificent city , but I was very offended by the staffs’s comment. I traveled to Istanbul on my own from Canada to relax and to be on my own. I didn’t bother anyone, and I was certainly not disrespectful. They need to be informed not to impose disrespect to international clientele staying in the hotel. Hotel residents should have access to the rooftop; that is ine of the main readons we reserve this hotel ..
